San Francisco Yosemite and Alcatraz Local Tour

Visit San Francisco easily and comfortably with a combo tour package that includes a two-day tour of two must-visit courses.

First, visit Yosemite National Park and appreciate the tallest giant Sequoia tree on Earth. Take a look around the national parks and forests and listen to guides on the history of the park, the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and the importance of the Sequoia trees.



On the second day, take a free tour of Alcatraz Island, which used to be a federal prison. With the award-winning 45-minute prison audio tour, you can see everything about Alcatraz, the infamous Alcatraz.

There is also a rare opportunity to listen to a recording of the voices of the guards and inmates.

The time specified below is for reference only and may vary depending on the weather and traffic conditions of the tour.

Day 1: Yosemite Giant Sequoia Tour

Pick up from a hotel in downtown San Francisco or Fisherman's Wharf at 6:00am-7:00am

Move east towards San Joaquin Valley at 7:40am-11:00am

Buy snacks and lunch to eat during the park tour (personal expenses)

Meet the guide and hear about the history of the Sierra Nevada Foothill.

Arrival at 11:00am-1:00pm Yosemite National Park

Tuolome Giant Sequoia Grove hiking (3.2 km)

Free time at 2:30pm-3:30pm Yosemite Valley, visit Swinging Bridge, hike Yosemite Valley

Stop at 4:00pm-6:00pm and rest and snacks (personal expenses)

Tip:

It's a good idea to bring cash with you in case of a purchase or emergency.

Bring bottled water separately.

Wear comfortable sneakers and multiple layers of clothing, use insect repellent spray and sunscreen.

Pier 33 Alcatraz Landing is available to those who have difficulty moving around.

Many areas of Alcatraz Island can be moved using the serviceable Easy Access Transport Trams. The tram runs twice an hour in each direction.
